Grandparents went to Kenya in late 1800's
Surname Herne.
Mother,  Mary  also born in Nairobi. She worked for an insurance company for 25 years.  

Father , Bill Legg  born in UK, went out to Kenya 1924, at the time worked for Barclays Bank. In 1937+, he worked for E.A.R. & H as an accountant and retired after 25 years.  

He had a dance band for about 30 years , called "The Melodians".
